You might want to use oranges, lemons and limes sliced but I would use a little larger container if you use all three.
If you go larger, you may not have to slice them.
Also another thought, you might want to use tangerines instead of the larger oranges.

ohh! I love Susan's response. Tangerines would fit better...i wanna know more about this fish..I'm intrigued :o)

I agree with Tabetha...I would slice...and I think goldfish would be precious! Good luck! I can't wait to see pics!
My wedding was in June and we used limes in the centerpieces: whole, halved, quartered and sliced!
We used whole limes on the bottom then halved, quartered and sliced on top. We used water also (but we put a drinking glass in the center-to take up more space, since the containers were large). I think the mixed fruit will look great!
I have to say that I agree with Tabetha on this....sliced, no water. It is going to look great with all three mixed in there! :-)
